These are wines obtained from grape varieties produced on the island which, for various reasons, have small productions. In total, they represent around 15% of the total harvest production.
In the case of wines produced exclusively in the canteiro system and which require many more years of aging in oak casks to obtain the characteristic tones and complexity of Madeira, Justino's Madeira Wines, S.A. decided to only sell these wines with 10 years of minimum aging in oak casks.
