Este vinho apresenta uma cor vermelha rubi. É um vinho intenso, complexo e elegante. As notas de fruta preta madura, as delicadas nuances florais e os toques de arbusto a dar frescura, estão muito bem envolvidas num conjunto em que o estágio em barrica apenas confere mais complexidade. Na boca é harmonioso e equilibrado, com tanino macio a dar estrutura e força ao vinho. Sentem-se ainda aromas de sous bois, floresta e de fruta, aromas estes que se mantêm num final longo e persistente.
